Vs + past tense + 구나 싶자… - as soon as one realizes that…(something else happens).
개가 죽었구나 싶자 눈물이 났어요.
As soon as I realized the dog was dead, I cried.
내 차례구나 싶자 막 떨리더군요.
As soon as I realized it was my turn, I got very nervous.
~ (이) 야말로… – used to add emphasis
